My name is Karena (Ka-ren-na) Gregg, and I
am currently a senior at Beaver Falls High
School, Beaver Falls, PA, USA. I have two
sisters and a brother. My interest in birds,
particularly in birds of prey, was sparked
about four years ago when my dad, who has
been bird-watching for twenty years,
persuaded me to try it. I have been avidly
interested in birds ever since and have
combined skills in my drawings I have
learned from field observations, books, and art
lessons. I've been doing pen and ink
drawings of raptors for a little more than
three years. I took formal art lessons for about
five years, where I work in a more traditional
setting with traditional mediums, particularly
oils. My pen and ink work shows the
knowledge I have gained through observation,
reading,and working with various artistic
concepts in the studio. Besides working on
drawings and going birding, I also enjoy
reading just about anything and romping
around with my little sister, Marianna, and
beagle, Sammy. I am also involved in my
church's youth group. I'm a waitress and love
walking on my 4-ft.-high stilts. Break a leg...
